Course Copy

Due to enhancements in Blackboard 6 instructors now have more control over their courses and content. One major enhancement provides instructors with the ability to easily copy course content from previously created courses into new courses using the control panel.

To copy content you'll need a "new" course to copy the content into, and an old course to copy the content from. (If the [new] course you wish to copy content to is not set up in Blackboard, you will need to fill out the New Course Application form.)

Once your "new" course is set up, you can copy your course content by following the steps listed below:

  1. Log in to Blackboard and go to your "old" course (that contains the content you'd like to copy).
  2. Access the control panel from the link underneath the main navigation menu.
  3. Inside the Control Panel, select Course Copy option in the Course Options section.



  4. Once inside the Course Copy section, select the Destination Course ID from the list of courses you are teaching.



  5. Next, select the Course Materials you wish to copy from the old course into the [new] Destination Course.



  6. After you've selected all the materials you would like to copy, click the Submit button.



  7. You will see a confirmation when the copy is complete. Click OK, and you'll return to the contol panel.
